Newcastle 50’s Rock & Roll Club is a social dance club that was formed in May 1995 by a handful of enthusiastic rock & rollers who wanted to keep 50’s music alive in the Newcastle area. Every Tuesday we meet at Kahibah Sports Club 63 Kenibea Avenue Kahibah 2290, where the regular members teach the new beginners basic rock & roll steps, in a social club environment.

Dance lessons start at 6:30pm for the beginners group and intermediate group starts at 7pm. After the lessons we have social dancing till 9pm. Since the club began, the dance lessons have attracted a strong following with membership totaling around 400.
A yearly membership of $10.00 is charged with a weekly attendance fee of $5 for Tuesday night lessons & dances. The last Tuesday of each month we have a lesson free night where we book a local Duo, DJ or Band so our members can enjoy 3 hours of social dancing. This also gives the new members a chance to practice some of the dance steps they have learnt over the previous weeks.
Newcastle 50’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Club is a non profit organisation and donates to local charities throughout each year.
For 14 to 18 year old who wish to learn to dance at Newcastle 50’s Rock & Roll Club must be supervised at all times.
